I've been a debian based Linux user for years, probably close to 13 years now. So the idea of switching to another distro has never really crossed my mind. Especially since Linux Mint has been such a great distro for me over the past few years. About a two months ago I did a 'Lets Install' video for Antergos Linux, and I was impressed with it, so I decided that when I built out my new computer system I would give it a try as my main system.
In an attempt to keep my promise of doing more living streaming, I did one the other day. Sadly only one person watched :) But that is my fault, because I did not announce it. My goal is to do at least one live stream a week, and at first I probably wont make a big fanfare out of it, because I want to work the bugs out, but you are always welcomed to watch.
Tomb Raider has finally made it to Linux. Released on April 27th 2016 for Linux on Steam, I just had to give it a try. The last time I played any Tomb Raider game was back in the 90s on the original play station. I loved the game back than. So I was excited to see it released on Linux. But this is not the old PS version of Tomb Raid, this is a re-vamp with amazing graphics and exciting game play.
I took a chance on another early release and came up with a winner. Slime Rancher is a first person rancher, collect slime creatures, feed 'em harvest their poop and make money. Exploring an amazing world in the process.
Showtime 2073, is it PacMan for the modern age? What is this addicting game all about? Collect the dots, and shoot the bad guys with lasers and rockets. PacMan gone wild? This twitchy first person shooter blends old and new concepts together to come up with a game idea that is not only frustrating but quite addicting.
Hi Guys, this is my level 61 DK running Blood furnace, I mainly did this video to test my new rig, and to see how it handles everything. Thought I would share it with you guys.
Some of you may know that I have been wanting to build a new system, and some of you know that I have not done something like this in years. I finally did it. Originally I was going to wait for income tax money, but the wife shot down that idea, so I had paid my CC down to nearly nothing and figure what the heck, my payment wont be much if I just charge it :) I know, such an American attitude. haha.
The other day I decided to install Antergos Linux on my C720 Chrome book. This is a blog about how that went. I've been running Linux Mint on this chromebook for over a year now and it has always been a solid performer for such low specs. I have the 2Gig memory with 32G SSD for storage. I do not run chrubuntu or any other side by side Linux install on my chromebook, I actually updated the BIOS and turned my C720 into a real laptop that no longer required chromeOS to be installed in order to use it.
For a few years now my favorite game has been Left4Dead2, I like to play it with the katana and just chop the zombies up. After this weekends steam sale I purchased Shadow Warrior, hoping it would be as cool and fun as the old 90's version of the game. Boy was I happy to see it had a survival mode, now I have a new game to play to blow off steam after a long day at work. :)
Played some PvP in WoW on Linux (WINE) last night, it had been a couple years since I played any PvP in this game, so it was quite an interesting experience. A lot has changed in this game since just a year or two ago, and the fact that level 10 characters are boosted to level 19 when joining battle grounds really blew my mind.
